At the present time, this is the only event planned. Barb Stewart is working on some suggested places to visit, especially near the new and exciting activities down at the waterfront. Also, we are thinking these suggestions might be of interest to those who might want to stay for the weekend. More information to follow.
The total cost is yet to be determined as a lot depends on how many people we estimate will be there. So if there is any chance of you and/or a significant other attending, please let us know (the sooner the better) so plans can be firmed up.

This is taken from Hunt Real Estate’s website. It’s an article about Peter Hunt ’71 and his wife Mary Jo being named the United Way Tocqueville Society’s 2014 Philanthropists of the Year.
The United Way Tocqueville Society has named Peter & Mary Jo Hunt 2014 Philanthropists of the Year. The annual award is presented to recognize outstanding volunteer service and community commitment. Each year, the award winners are selected by past recipients.
The Hunt’s have been longtime contributors to the United Way. Between them they have served more than 15 years on the Board of Directors, and helped inspire tens of thousands of people to change lives in our community through philanthropy as chairs of the 2004 Campaign and of the Tocqueville Society in 2014.
“Peter and Mary Jo are a prime example of a family that is dedicated to making the community they live in a better place,” said Michael Weiner president and CEO of United Way of Buffalo and Erie County. “We are proud to honor them as the United Way Tocqueville Society Philanthropists of the Year.”
“Supporting the United Way and their continuing commitment to improve our community is near and dear to our entire family,” said Peter Hunt, Chairman and CEO of HUNT Real Estate Corporation. “This tribute is a great honor and we are extremely appreciative of their recognition.”

“Cancer, that’ll be a NO Bob!” About 7 months ago John was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer. During those 7 months John has undergone treatment, including chemotherapy on an almost weekly basis. John has fought hard which is no shock to us because we all know how strong he is. As you may assume, his medical bills are astronomical.
Tickets are $25 per person. There will be food and drink, and many different auctions and raffles throughout the event. Your support is vital.
If you are unable to join us but want to help, monetary donations can be made to:
Gofundme (Raise Your Voice for John) by following this link—>
Or we are graciously accepting items/gift certificates for our auctions and raffles. To purchase tickets, make non-monetary donations, and for additional info: firstname.lastname@example.org
Join Gayle Shaw Hutton ’79, a major gift officer for the UB Jacobs School of Medicine, for a one hour walking tour of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Get an inside look at the construction sites of the new 675,000 square foot UB Medical School and Oshei Children’s Hospital, visit UB’s Center for Clinical and Translational Research, the Innovation Center (home to Dig, 43N and Z80 and other emerging start-up companies), and more!
We will be meeting on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Gates Vascular Institute/CTRC (875 Ellicott Street, next to Buffalo General Hospital). Parking deck located directly across the street. Click here for directions—>
